My review: 3.5/5Until yesterday, this book was just a title- but then, while reviewing another book, I read its bibliography with notes, and saw that this book from 1862 is still routinely printed

So, I went to Archive.org (it is out of copyright- 1862), and, frankly, I could not stop reading the book while sipping a glass in my watering hole or riding a bus, or whenever I had a pause from my activities and studies this week-end

It is eerily funny, and reminded me of when I read some books with material from Felice Cavallotti, on the ""scandalo della Banca Romana""

Many of those that at the end of the XIX were involved in that pivotal scandal for the new kingdom of Italy were, in this book, already on stage

And, frankly, when, in the first half of the book, the author gives a general overview, it reminded me of some characters of Italian Parliaments that I observed since the 1970s

Also if the part that I liked the most was the last dozen of pages or so, from page 194 (page number, not Acrobat page), with the author's description echoing the Leviathan, an Italian Leviathan were the Parliament is the connecting element between the different parts of the Frankenstein that was the quickly developed kingdom of Italy- yet to be converted into a single country

Worth reading- as, after few smiles, it can actually suggest some ideas before the forthcoming political elections (March 2018)

Caveat: it is written in XIX century Italian, so requires a little bit of effort if you understand just current Italian
