BookID 152486371
ISBN 9788862506939
(see LibraryThing.com card)

My review: 4/5"I picked up this book during one of my serendipity tours in a bookshop.

My aim: books on current business development and technological trends, but possibly from a change management perspective.

Moreover, as I have already plenty of those but from either an American or a German perspective, I was looking something relevant to Italy.

This book attracted my attention due to its title, that echoes a book from Primo Levi that I never read (my failure), but whose sounded familiar- and, actually, probably read some excerpts.

Why this books is interesting? No mumbo-jumbo, jargon- unless it is relevant to one of the 14 personal ""journey to Industry 4.0"" stories.

Focus: human capital development, something often forgotten by those writing about IoT, Industry 4.0, AI, etc.

As the new technologies require a different way to organize work and workplaces, and people with, as written in the book, a ""wider broadband"".

So, instead of my usual review, here is the list of the 14 stories:
1. Avio Aero in Cameri (Novara), a General Electric Company: Serena Barbieri, production engineer in additive manufacturing
2. CLN Magnetto Automotive in Chivasso (Turin), a CLN Magnetto Company: Filippo Quaranta, environment and WCM
3. Poliform Lab in Inverigo (Como): Marta Anzani, corporate manager
4. FIM-CISL in Brescia: Cateluta (Catia) Cuzuma, the role of trade unions in Industry 4.0 training (based upon WCM)
5. Sergio Rossi in San Mauro Pascoli (Rimini): Luigi Borrelli, plant director
6. FCA in Cassino: Rita D'Ammassa, team leader; Maria Teresa Spiriti, employee in logistics engineering
7. Sedapta in Genova: Giorgio Cuttica, company founder
8. Amazon in Castel San Giovanni: Enrico Mazzarol, manager
9. StMicroelectronics in Agrate Brianza: Domenico Arrigo, head of Industrial and Power Conversion division
10. COMAU in Grugliasco (Turin): Donatella Pinto, head of human resources
11. Dallara Automobili in Motor Valley (from Parma to Modena): Luca Vescovi, engineer
12. Leonardo/Agusta: Moreno Albino Mambrin, trade unions representative and designing engineer
13. Iveco in Turin, a CNH Industrial company: Vittorio La Valle, engine testing
